Service Description

Duchesne AI provides Halo, an AI-powered voice receptionist that handles inbound phone calls on behalf of businesses. Halo can answer calls in French and English, check calendar availability, book appointments, and send SMS confirmations to callers. The service is operated by Duchesne AI, a company incorporated in Quebec, Canada.

Acceptable Use

By using Halo, businesses agree to:

• Provide accurate business information (hours, services, contact details) for use by the AI agent
• Use the service only for legitimate appointment booking and customer communication purposes
• Maintain any third-party integrations required for the service to function for the duration of service
• Comply with all applicable privacy laws regarding personal data in their jurisdiction
• Not use the service to send unsolicited communications or for any unlawful purpose

Google Calendar Integration

Halo accesses business calendars via a secure authorization flow solely to read availability and create appointment events. The business is responsible for maintaining their calendar account and for the accuracy of calendar information. Duchesne AI is not responsible for missed appointments due to calendar misconfiguration or revoked access.

AI Limitations

Halo is an AI system and may occasionally misunderstand caller requests, mishear information, or fail to complete a booking. Businesses should have a fallback process for missed or failed calls. Duchesne AI does not guarantee that every inbound call will be handled successfully.

Uptime & Availability

Duchesne AI makes commercially reasonable efforts to keep Halo operational. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, third-party service outages (telephony, speech services, calendar APIs), or unforeseen technical issues may result in temporary downtime. Duchesne AI is not liable for losses resulting from service unavailability.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Duchesne AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Halo service, including but not limited to missed appointments, lost revenue, or customer complaints. Total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the business in the month in which the issue occurred.

Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement by providing written notice. Upon termination, Duchesne AI will revoke all system access and, upon request, delete all stored data associated with the business within 30 days.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec.
