Who We Are

Duchesne AI is a company incorporated in Quebec, Canada. We operate Halo, an AI-powered voice receptionist that handles inbound appointment booking calls on behalf of businesses. Our contact is david@duchesneai.com.

Google Calendar Access

Halo connects to each business's Google Calendar via a secure authorization flow to read availability and create appointment events. The following applies to this access:

• We request read/write access to the business's calendar for the sole purpose of booking appointments
• Authorization credentials are stored securely in our database and are never shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than booking on behalf of that business
• We do not access any other Google account data (email, contacts, Drive, etc.)
• Businesses can revoke access at any time via their Google Account settings

Data Collected During Calls

When a caller contacts a business using Halo, the following information may be collected during the conversation for the purpose of booking the appointment:

• Caller name
• Phone number
• Email address (if provided)
• Preferred language
• Requested service and appointment date/time

This data is purpose-collected — provided directly by the caller during the call. We do not import or store any pre-existing customer databases from businesses. No pre-existing records or sensitive personal data beyond what is collected during the call is ever stored.

SMS Communications

With explicit verbal consent obtained during the call, Halo may send appointment confirmation and reminder SMS messages to callers. See our SMS Consent Policy for the full opt-in and opt-out process.

Data Retention & Deletion

Call records and caller data collected by Halo are retained for the duration of the business's active service agreement. Businesses or callers may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting david@duchesneai.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.

Quebec Privacy Law

Duchesne AI operates in compliance with Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) and, where applicable, the Act respecting health and social services information (R-22.1). We collect only the minimum data necessary to deliver the service and do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., sending an SMS via our telephony provider).
